Local musicians are rallying together to host a benefit concert event for their friend and colleague Aaron Reed (of the Brothers Reed) to cover medical bills during his ongoing treatment for cancer.
Co-hosted by Jefferson Public Radio and the Holly Theatre, fellow Rogue Valley musicians will present an evening of music that features seven well-loved local musical acts as part of the Holly Theatre’s “soft opening” events following its restoration.
In festival fashion, performances will be rotating in half-hour intervals between the mainstage and the upstairs lobby beginning at 4pm on the Mainstage with Danielle Kelly Soul Project, followed by Bekkah McAlvage + Jeff Fretwell, The Illies, Clayton Joseph Scott, The John Dough Boys, The Fret Drifters, and Adam Gabriel + The Cavaliers on the Mainstage with a special guest appearance by the Brothers Reed. Music will begin on the mainstage with performances at 4, 5, 6, and 7pm.
Doors open at 3 and guests can wander the gorgeous venue space, admire the authentically restored architecture, and enjoy concessions.
A silent auction fundraiser for Aaron will take place in the spacious upstairs lobby, where concessions will be serving beer + wine, and musical performances will be presented at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30.
To allow you to spend more time downtown, MELT Food Truck will be parked just outside providing a delicious late lunch and dinner, with a percentage of their proceeds being donated to Aaron.
General admission tickets are $25.
Proceeds from the ticket sales and silent auction will go directly to Aaron Reed.
